Nickname: Karm
I grew up on an apple farm in Yakima, Washington. I am the oldest of 4 girls and we had such a fun
childhood helping my dad on the farm, attending a tiny but close-knit evangelical church, and being a part of our church’s Christian school. I eventually moved to Seattle to complete my degree in social sciences at UW and met my husband, Scott. We felt led to move up to Bellingham in 2000 and raised our kids among extended family, in the Mt Baker community. I love working with little kids and feel strongly about providing a safe, loving, and nurturing place for them to be on Sunday mornings. I feel humbled to teach them about Jesus, to work with all of the faithful Nursery volunteers, and to be a part of this ministry.
My passion outside of church is watching my kids play basketball, hiking, running, gardening, reading, boating, and I love just being with my family and friends.
Year Began at Northlake: Spring of 2008
Family: I have been married to my wonderful husband Scott since 1992 and we have 2 great kids. Zach is a freshman in college and Katie is a senior in high school.
Life Verse: Psalm 139
Where were you living when you were in first grade? Yakima, Wa
